The reason for so many restaurants in a town as small as Playas del Coco is simple, we have many large "all inclusive" resorts in the area. Tourist get tired of the same buffet everyday, so by their 3rd or 4th day here they start going out for meals. Ironically they choose the "all inclusive" type of resort as a money saving deal, but by the time they pay the cab driver and the dinner check for 2 or 3 meals in town, they wind up paying more for their vacation than they would have paid at one of the more intimate resorts. We only recommend restaurants that we eat at, ones that give you quality dining experiences.
