Deep Sea Fishing

Costa Rica has long been a destination for fishermen. Playas del Coco is the oldest fishing village in the Guanacaste region. The Gulf of Papagayo and the waters along the coast hold the most world record’s for billfish. It is not unheard of to catch a 200 lb yellow fin tuna or a blue marlin; 120 lb sailfish; along with wahoo, roosterfish, shark, groupers, dorado (mahi-mahi) and a variety of snappers. We only recommend fishing tour operators that meet the US Coast Guard regulations for safety. The rates are based on 4 people and include licenses, all equipment, beverages, snacks and for full day tours lunch. Due to ever increasing fuel costs, the rates for half days and full day trips change with every government mandated fuel price increases.
