We offer a variety of snorkeling options to fit everyone’s budget. The beautiful Gulf of Papagayo offers year-round surprises for those who wish to stay above the water. With good visibility, snorkellers can see many different types of reef fish, moray eels, octopus, and even seahorses. If the small creatures aren't enough for you, your lucky day might just consist of snorkeling with turtles, manta rays, dolphins, or whale sharks! Custom Motor Boat Tour – The tour boat is a 27 ft, 8 passenger custom designed skiff with a quiet 4 stroke engines that will take you to secluded beaches quickly & comfortably. They will customize the tour to fit your needs. they offer complete diving packages, snorkeling, reef fishing and water skiing (conditions permitting) They will even include a gourmet beach BBQ complete with linens, china and silverware. They offer an edited DVD of your day in the sun. The tours are private, meaning you and yours will be the only ones on the boat. Almaco tours don't stop with snorkeling. Within a 30-minute radius of the beach they will happily take you around in search of playful surface creatures. Depending on the season you are able to see mating sea turtles, countless curious dolphins, massive humpback whales with their calves, and again, the impressive whaleshark. If you want a fun water based tour this is the one. Half day - $70 per person includes all equipment, drinks, fruits & snacks. Deluxe half day - $90 per person includes the above and a gourmet lunch at a secluded beach. (surcharge of $20 above boat minimum if less than 5 people ) Full day Beach BBQ – 9:30am to sunset - $135 per person includes all food, drinks, games and equipment Sunset Tour - $75 per person or boat minimum charge, 2:00 pm to sunset, includes drinks, snacks and fruits. They require a minimum of 4 passengers or a boat minimun charge of $400 Sail/Snorkel – $70 per person children under 12 - ½ price. Leave from Playa Hermosa, ½ day sail includes all snorkel equipment, Ceviche, boxed lunch, beverages, fresh fruit. Motor Snorkel Tours – 3 hour tour, snorkel equipment fruit & beverages are included. $175 for the boat and up to 4 people. Snorkeling – from the beach – the north end of Coco and the north end of Ocotal are great for snorkeling from the beach. Snorkel gear can be rented from any of the dive shops for $15 per day.
