Horseback Riding Tours

The tour will take you on a 3 hour ride through the jungle and up the mountain to hidden waterfalls and natural springs where you can swim in the refreshing cool waters. Located on 300 acres of forested mountain and open fields this is a working Costa Rican farm. Cost is $35 per person for Rancho Armadillo Estate guests. This tour is especially unique in that you will get to see the real Costa Rica as the locals see it. We combine this tour with a stop at a an indigenous Indian village where they make pottery the same way their ancestors have for 100’s of years. Each house has it’s own wood fired bee-hive kiln where you can watch every stage of the Pre-Columbian pottery making process. You can purchase pottery directly from the artisan or at a co-op located in the center of town. You will leave the Estate at around 8 am and return in the afternoon with still time to relax and catch a great sunset from the pool.
